1 year ago today

A year ago today, we celebrated a commitment of love with our closest friends and dearest family standing by. As we reflect back on that amazing day in October, we are filled with gratitude. Not just for the beauty of the day and the bond we have created over the years, but for the love and support from all of you. Thank you for being a big part of the best day of our lives and for being a part of our hearts that day and always.
We love you.

P.S We had no idea that you all coordinated and took this amazing photo! It wasn't until we got the pictures back that we saw this shot. What an incredible surprise.

butterfly kisses

Winged things have always held a special place in my heart. The gypsy spirit in me, appreciates their ability to take flight. It has become a symbol of strength for me when life has thrown some difficult challenges and their beauty reminds me of the delicate nature in life and everything we choose to create for our selves.

In honor of the symbolism, Cliff created a surprise moment for me when we walked back down the ailse. He ordered a special box of butterflies and had our dear friend Maurice release them as we came down in front of all of you as husband and wife for the first time. It took my breath away.

The magic continued later in the day while we took a moment to photograph the family. The wedding brought my Sister, Mother and dear Aunt together for the first time in our lives, a memorable occasion in itself. My Aunt Judi's husband and a father figure, Uncle Chet, had passed away before the wedding. He and I shared a special bond, like no one else. When Jen called the family up for our first photo, a beautiful butterfly landed on my dress and stayed with me until I could lift it up and sent it away. It was a sign sent from the heavens to represent my dear Uncle Chet and all the loved ones that couldn't be there with us on that special day.

In remembrance of Uncle Chet, Grandpa Sol, Jim Hendrick, Grandpa Mario, Grandpa Cliff and others that celebrated with us in spirit.
